Street Rod Column Shift

The steel tilt column shift offers the added comfort of tilt as well as self-canceling turn signals, four-way flashers, and a standard dress-up kit. Along with these standard features, is the indexable lower shift arm. With 12 possible positions, adjustability is just a turn of a wrench away.

Retro-Fit Column

Column with Ignition

Put the convenience of an ignition switch at your fingertips with a tilt column shift with ignition. Along with the standard tilt column shift features this column includes two coded keys and an electric switch to start your ride. The ignition switch is smaller and encased in a smooth, sleek housing that is not only pleasing to the eye but also strategically placed to keep your column from key ring scratches. The column includes the relays to carry the high amperage of present day electrical systems.

yRetro Fit columns add the convenience and reliability of a new column built specific for your vehicle. This steering column is not a universal column that requires modification of your original vehicle to install. Simply remove your old column, saving your original under-dash mount as well as the original floor mount. Using one of the installation kits install your new steering column in place of the old. Add an aftermarket wheel and the gripping surface of the new wheel will be in the same location as the original.

Street Rod Column

This column has become an industry standard. While it is not the most expensive column, this column is by far the most popular. The steel tilt column offers the added comfort of tilt as well as self-cancelling turn signals, four-way flashers, and a standard dress-up kit. For extra eye appeal, you can order your steel tilt column in a chrome-plated finish.

Classic Column

The “Classic” style steering column has that great 40’s look! This straight column is sleek and cool with its stylish head and smaller tube diameter. It is available in paintable steel or chrome and features turn signals, four way flashers, and horn. Standard lengths include 16”, 28”, 30”, 32”, 35”. Any steering wheel adaptor that ididit inc. offers will fit on the Classic Column, but a 3 bolt, 5 bolt, or a 6 bolt Vette adaptor look the best.

Swivel Floor Mount

This swivel ball style polished floor mount has a trim ring for the engine compartment side. Includes all needed hardware for installation. For aftermarket columns only.

Adjustable Floor Mount

This inexpensive and adjustable lower mount will make things secure at the floorboard or firewall. It is available to fit either 1-3/4”, 2” or 2-1/4” diameter columns.

Classic Chevy Floor Mount

This mount uses the two original holes in the floor to mount the bracket. The clamp secures the bracket to the column. This floor mount is recommended for use with all Tri-Five Installations.

GM Style Indicator

Shift indicator features a clear plastic indicator with a billet aluminum bezel. Shift indicator available for 3 speed and GM overdrive transmissions.

Rag Joint Connector

When using a 605 box, a rag joint is required. The rag joint has two functions. One, as a coupler between the lower shaft of the column and the input shaft of the gearbox. And two, as a vibration reducer to help isolate pulsations commonly felt from the power steering pump.

Lokar’s Cable Operated LED Shift Indicator is designed for the flexibility to mount it in a variety of locations under the hood such as on the transmission, attached to the frame rail, to the floor pan, on the firewall or on the inner fender well, etc.

Stick-on Shift Indicator  is available for 3 speed and GM overdrive automatic transmissions. Indicators are clear plastic with an engraved shift pattern. Shift indicator comes complete with matching pointer.

Wire Connector

This is the mate to the plug on your ididit column. This kit includes eight crimp-on terminals that can be easily attached to your wires and then clipped into the plug.

Column Dress Up Kits

Steering column dress up kits are availaable to fit original GM and Chrysler factory columns 69 and newer. A shifter knob for column shifters to match the dress up kits is sold seperately.

Steering Column Drops

The drop on the left is fron Classir Craft. The open center and solid drops on the right are Mullins. They are machined from solid billet aluminum. They come in 4 different hole diameters to fit most columns. Adjustable swivel easily compensates for different column and dash angles. Available in 1-3/4”, 2”, 2-1/4” And 2-3/8” diameter holes and lengths of 2”, 3”, 4”, 5”, and 6”. The 2-3/8” drop has a notch to clear the wire harness cover on GM columns.Specify column diameter when ordering

Steering Wheel Adapters and Horn Buttons

The Short 9-bolt is unique. It moves the bolting surface of a steering wheel 2” closer to the dash than a standard aftermarket adaptor. Caution should be taken when using this adaptor. Note the clearance required between the wheel and turn signal lever, and/or shift arm. Modifications may be necessary for proper installation.

Hub adapters are supplied with stainless mounting screws, a black plastic horn button, horn wire, and LECARRA logo. Most hubs are available polished and optional horn buttons are also available.
